Default Need Help Deciding on Exhaust Setup

I made a post last week regarding, JBA long tube headers to an X pipe, which would dump into my Magnaflow 3ā€ CAT back to Magnapacks. Well, there is not an exhaust shop around here that will remove the converters for me, and the JBA install is going to cost more than the parts.
What do you think of my alternative?
Ford Racing ceramic coated shorty headers that dump into a 2.5ā€ Magnaflow true X pipe, with the high flow converters, connected to my existing 3ā€ CAT back Magnapacks.
Here is the price comparison:
eBay=JBA long tubeSS(no ceramic coating): $670 delivered ($800 installed without X pipe, but custom pipe work included) Total: $1470
Now to add two CATs to the above set up will be about $150, ballpark with Magnaflow high flows, and $80, ballpark for an X pipe, bringing the total to about $1700
Here is what I’m leaning toward:
Jegs=Ford Racing Shorty Headers SS ceramic coated: $454 ($575 install for both headers and True X pipe)
Jegs=Magnaflow True X with CATs: $449
Total: $1478

My question is, between the two exhaust set ups above, is there really going to be a noticeable difference in performance and sound? I am open to all positive and negative opinions. If it helps I’m looking to install a Whipple next spring. Deciding

Your install prices are WAY high IMO. Where is that quoted from?

You would see better gains with the LTs if you are looking to install that Whipple. I think your install prices are outrageous. I was quoted $400 for LT installation by a local muffler shop, and that included installing the x pipe and catback along with it. I am looking to get a similar setup as the one your looking at - Kooks LT with o/r x and the Magnaflow catback.

That was a price I was just quoted from Rossi's Performance here in RI. He told me it was a two day job, that they had just recently done a GT500 and the engine needed to be jacked up. They said it was a big job. Ultimatly I'd love to go with the JBL LTs, with high flow CATs, to an X pipe, to my Magnaflow CAT back. So I'm not sure what to do, there are not many shops in my area I'd trust, Rossi's is one of them, aside from Tasca Ford Performance, but I can expect to pay big bucks with them to. I don't know what to do.

Well you could always tackle it yourself with a couple of buddies and you will know its done correctly, plus you could do a nice write-up and post it here on the forum.
