appreciate it tn_gt.. yall know wat? i retuned the car and the engine light came off.. i drove around about 20 or 30 miles and still no light? how do u explain that one?

any ideas?

I would explain that as electrial gremlins. Happens all the time at my work. Can't begin to tell you how often rebooting something fixes an electrical glitch. Hopefully the light will stay off. As far as revving the engine, I can't see any way in which this would move the came out of alignment. It is however not the best thing to do to any engine because there is no load on the engine's rotating assembly and it causes additonal stress to these parts. Small revs here and there are not the end of the world but if you're bouncing off the rev-limiter and in nuetral well that's another story.
