Prochamer Help Please
Alright looking for new exhaust. been doing alot of research on the mufflers and sound i like. kinda of narrowed it down to either boomtubes or flowmasters super 44. but i think im going with the boomtubes just b/c everyone and their brother have flowmasters. but heres the real question. i want to hook the boomtubes up to something different than the stock h-pipe. ok question is Ive been reading and looking at getting an o/r hpipe becuz i want to keep that deep sound. but if you get the o/r h pipe with out cats you wont pass inspectation here in NC. i was looking and im not to "Car parts Smart" but trying to put 2 n 2 together and so what is a prochamber. will that still give me the o/r hpipe that hooks into stock cats so ill pass inspectation? anyone please feel free to help me out... is there a way you can get new mid pipes but keep cats to pass inspectation... please feel free to show your knowledge

OK ...im slightly confused! do you want an O/R prochamber or one that splices into your stock midpipe? the splice-in one will probably be quieter than your stock H-pipe. you could just get an O/R prochamberand put on hi-flow catson it or just go O/R and put your factory pipes back on at inspection time! Prochamber/boomtubes combo sounds really mean...just be forewarned, it will be loud!

I have the O/R prochamber with boomtubesand Dynomax race bullets(resonators) and I love it. It's the sound I've been looking for...or listening for. This combination sounds deep, clean and mean! [sm=shades.gif]
If you want to keep the stock cats then the direct fit prochamber is what you'll need...

You will need to cut off the stock H-pipe at the front to install the prochamber.
The prochamber is said to be a cross between an H-pipe and X-pipe. You get the best of both worlds. The sound of an H and the performance of an X.
