Ok I am asking everyone out there who has a 62mm bbk throttle body on there stang and has not had a problem I know I haven't had any trouble with mine.

 

Unless you are pushing big power and need tons of air there really isn't any need for a bigger throttle body. Most people who get them gain nothing but problems, glad to hear you don't have any. Do you really think it is helping?

 

They will cause more trouble than they are worth.
Stick with the already big enough OEM TB.

 

+1 to both sailing220 and 157db. The only other TB other than stock I would ever run is the GT500 TB.

 

GT500 TB is not worth it either. The Black Diamond monoblade TB is the only one to have for positive displacement FI, which is the only people really needing bigger TB.
They have two: One flows 1600 CFM the other flows 2000 CFM.

 

I have never had a problem with my BBK TB. I believe when companies first started to market the TB’s for the 3 valve people weren’t setting the spring correctly that gets transferred from the OEM TB – I guess it means they didn’t read the instructions (or were there any? All the companies making TB’s seem to really emphasize how to set it up now but that might be due to the initial complaints). I tested just the TB with the stock intake system it and the seat of the pants feeling was a definite pickup in power. I guess all that was really happening is that the bigger TB is sucking more air into the engine from the restricted stock air intake. Works great with the other mods and the tune.

Im liking mine so far. I jacked up the spring the first time around but it was my own fault.

 

Yes, mine does work great and I think the engine responds better.

 

imo, anything else would be a better mod...unless you really need more air!!!!!!
