Default AVIC D3 bluetooth problems...HELP

ok so i finally got a new phone after 2 and a half years...assuming it would work with my bluetooth avic d3 setup i tried it today since the start of the new hands free cell phone law. To my suprise, the phones did now connect and it said connection error. I have a LG Venus phone....is there anything i can do to make a connection here guys? ive been trying for about an hour and no luck. They both recognize eachother, they just cant connect. Hopefully someone out there who knows this stuff can help me out thanks!

avic411.com, those guys have all of the answers.
I have an LG Voyager and mine works perfectly.
Did you try making the phone find the HU instead of the HU trying to find the phone?

I have the same problem with my pantech duo and you probably have to get a downloadable"upgrade" for your phone to work with the avic. I'm currently waiting on my "upgradable download" so that my phone will work.

WOW ok so i read for about an hour on avic forums....and i finally got it to work PERFECT. The only thing i cant get it to do is download the phone book haha.

If you have this problem...atleast with some LG phones like the one i got, you have to change the pin code from 0000 to a 6 number combo ie 000000. I love how it auto connects everytime i turn my bluetooth on haha its sickkk so happy now.

thanks for the help and showing me that forum!

i cannot transfer my phonebook to it either. I heard its a problem with the avic d3 not your phone. I have an iphone. other than that it works great.

For those running Windows Mobile, try this app http://www.jetwaremobile.com. The Avic doesn't like the Bluetooth stack as implemented on WM - Jetware Mobile fixes it. It works greaton my HTC 5800, I was even able to download the address book. Of course, I drive a vert...and bluetooth is pretty much useless with all the noise so it's just handy to know that someone called so I can call 'em back when I stop.
