i seen an article in muscle mustangs (last month?) about an option for the 09, the heavy tinted roof, half of which is glass and the other half is fiberglass if i remember correctly. they would probably offer that as being retractable,it would only make sense with a glass roof. anyway, i would search around for 09 or maybe even 10 mustang rumors and myths and see what you could come up with. as the 09 is supposed to be the same platform, im sure it would fit or work on 05+

I considered it, as I had an aftermarket sunroof installed on my previous car (99 Mercury Cougar) and loved it, but I just dont think it would look right on the S197. If you're wondering, the cost for the one I got back then in 2001, it was a Webasto glass powered sunroof with a cloth retractable sunshade, was $700 installed. The average price nowadays for a good install (with drain channels and all) should be around 1k-1500. Good luck.

he's not being a smart *** he gave a legitimate answer. and here it is:

I see that a lot of people here like to jump the gun real quick and just bash another persons question or opinions. learn the facts first before you're quick to run your mouths.

Here is a link to a previous thread of a member that got a sunroof.
https://mustangforums.com/m_605165/tm.htm

but if I had a coupe, I wouldget the Saleen SKYVu power sliding roof.
Don't know when it will be available, but I think it would be worth waiting for.
The pic is huge so I'll just put a link to the pic.

nice try..he was being a smart ***...read his statement again...your youtube link shows a retractable hard top.....he specifically states soft top above and makes a play at the word convertible....but thats neither here nor there....please learn basic reading comprehension before you bash as well...ok? I for one will not bash someones opinion...I as simply stating that some here were being less than helpful and busting the new guys chops and question.
