Default Scratches

Ok so today I took my eyes off the road for 3 seconds and that was enough time to smash my side mirror into my neighbor's mailbox. The mirror was dangling by the wires and the side of my car was slightly scratched(not deep, maybe only clearcoat)by the lip of the mailbox door. It's too dark to take pictures, but if you guys need them I'll post some tomorrow.I used some scratch remover, I don't remember the name but it was top notch stuff. It's a two step wax and polish scratch remover. It took the whiteness out of the scratches so they're not too bad, but it still bugs me. Is there anything elseI can do?!

I have used Quixx (walmart) that requires wet sanding, polishing and waxing with great results. However, wet sanding is not for the weak hearted....lets say I tried in another vehicle before using it on my stang.

That's what I have Quixx! What is wet sanding? I have my old V6 bumper I can test it on? So can you explain the process of what to do?

Google "wet sanding". There are a ton of articles on the net about it.

I used Scratch Doctor with success taking off paint that rubbed off another car. It didn't work on minor scratches too well though. Just kind of made them less obvious but didn't eliminate them.

Go to Walmart and pick this up: You just attach it to your drill. Works great for small repairs.
3M Professional Chip & Scratch Repair kit. $19.99.
