Default Mits 3000 gt?

Tonight while driving home I was challenged by this old Mits. 3000 Gt. He drove next to me after he saw what I was driving (2005 GT) and then geared down and took off . It was decent but really I think I could have blew his doors off. Any body have any information? I looked them up on the inter net and the new one is suppose to have about 300 horses and a top speed of 155. This one was older but really it was complement considering he took me as something to race.

If it wasn't a VR4 it wouldn't even had been worth your gas. The VR4's had AWD and turbo, but the rest are 2WD 6's. Probably puttin down about 225 at the crank. Either way it would have most likely resulted in a good kill.

If it was a VR4, or the R/T TT Stealth, then it'll be 320 hp and awd.

Stock, they'll beat a WS6 or SS in the 1/4 mile - most are in the high 12's (due to AWD), but trap lower than the LS1.

If still in prime condition, they should beat a GT from a roll or a dig.

They would run low to mid 13s not 12s. A LS1 would still take it out.

In 93 when the VR4 came out it would give a Vette or SS a run for the money. They were 40K cars back in 93. With work, 400hp at the wheels. I drove one, insane fast. Not fair to compare 93 vs 05. Back in 93 a Mustang GT didnt have a chance against one, all else being =.
