it is the frpp x pipe,,,, i plan on installing it and leaving the cats alone and either use my flows or boomtubes for axlebacks....the problem is my "shop" guy says that it will sound horrible...he has been installing mufflers and doing pipe work on every motor out there for 22 years.....every mustang and camaro that he has ever installed an x pipe on has returned within the hour or minute to take it off.......he has done my exhaust work on 7 of my cars and i would never use anyone else......so, i am asking for any advice from you guys and gals about this part and x pipes in general.....i don't want it to sound like a "tin can with nuts and bolts in it".
if any of you have this part, kept the cats and have any axleback muffler......please advise....sound clip would be great

I've heard several makes of cars with xpipes, and I personally don't like the sound. Too "buzzy" for me. H pipe or prochamber is the route I plan on taking. As you can imagine, opinions will be all over the place on this subject...
It wont be overly raspy with the stock cats. I used to run the frpp X and slps and it was ok! smoothed out the tone a little and screamed at WOT. probably would soundgood with boomtubes, but not as good with chambered mufflers! FWIW i think the stock H-pipesounded better!
