Uhhh... What's this one time use hardware you guys speak of? TacoBill's writeup doesn't mention needing any of that. If you need it then it's kinda stupid that the kits don't come with it.
Its the interference fit hardware Ford uses on the suspension.
They havean interference fit when 1st installed on the assemble line.
Some blue loctite could be used if you cannot afford to purchase
the correct unused interference fit fastners from Ford. [&:]

LOL

I wonder why TB's writeup doesn't mention any of that. I have the blue Steeda LCA kit but to be honest I haven't even opened it up. I wonder if it actually does come with that stuff.

CHE's instructions also do not warrant the replacement of any of the hardware either. Probably safer to do so, but I put in my CHE's using the same stuff that came off the stockers and I have 0 Issued about 2500 Miles on them

And Iwonder why the Ford workshop manual DOES mention it?

I have the Spohn LCAs and used the same hardware and haven't had any issues.

There are many kinds of these fasteners. Some as simple as a coating of Lock-tite. Other more common ones, especialy in engine building are "Torque to yeild" fasteners.
My first encounter with these was many years ago when Detroit Diesel brought out the 92 Series Detroit Diesel Engine. The Head bolts and main bearing cap bolts had to be tightened in a very specific manner. It usually was a combination of intial torque using a torque wrench and then going through a series of degrees of furthe turning. Back then you had to mark the bolt head as a reference and then tighten "so many flats" or whatever it called for. Now they have niftyangle torque gauges you can attach to a power bar or whatever. The idea was to achieve more uniform torque and to set the bolt stretchto its strongest point. In these cases, you can't reuse the bolts. The 4.6 3v uses such bolts to hold the heads down. As for the bolts on the LCA's, they look to me that they may be the coated variety but, I have not had an opporitunity to replace them yet. I suspect all that may be required is a coat of blue Lock-tite and a determined torque value. I'm sure Ford has that info for bolt reuse. Let's see who chimes in with what you need to know.
