what kind of tint do you use to tint the taillights?

can you use the tint from places like auto zone or is there a special tint?

I don't know about you...but I want to make sure that the idiots behind me see that I'm braking...that little third brake light doesn't always catch their attention...if they don't brake, you'll be replacing your rear end quite a bit. I know I wouldn't tint them (besides you had better check with the local-state laws first).

vht nightshades and a clearcoat laquer.

Spray 3 coats vht, and atleast 2 clear. then you can wetsand after its dry and buff/polish. They come out pretty good as long as you spray it correctly.

Well here's a good question, if someone rear ends you and you have tinted taillights, can they argue that cuz of your tint they couldn't tell and end up having it be your fault???

i talked to my guy at the tint shop, who sells tint. he said stay away from tint for light assy. the reason is it dosent strectch like vinal will. moss mustangs and late model resto both have the light kit for around 54$ it may be a little bit more expensive then walmart tint, but its already prefit and you wont have half the headache
