Strut tower brace with plastic Mustang engine cover. I particularly like the new Shelby billet aluminum and Ford racing ones for my vert. will they fit? If no, are there other that will? Pictures would be great. Thanks.

 

I have the OEM bullitt brace part# 8R3Z 16A200 A, fits great with no clearance issues.

 

partsbill - yes i like that version with the Ford Racing logo. looks like it is painted silver- nice. where's the best place to buy and what did it cost?

 

bought it from the dealer, retail $174.55, it's stamped Ford Racing, I painted the Racing and found a emblem from a hubcap that was the same size as the stamped Ford oval.

 

If you get a brace to fit over the cover please post on this thread.I tried 4 different ones and none fit my 08 gt/cs. I lowered the plenum cover and still did not clear.Oh yeah they all said they would clear.Got my money back but had to pay shipping.

It certainly appears as though the one shown above fits over the plenum cover...

 

I just ordered the Steeda one from American Muscle. Plenty of pics of it on there with clearance over the plenum cover...unless every one of those guys did all the tricks to make it fit. Personally I'd rather not do that.

Plan on installing tomorrow when I get home from work (damn 12 hour night shift) and can post some pics if mine fits ok.

 

Plus three on the Bullitt STB.....Tons of room.....
