Tinted my turn signals - pic
Ok, I know it's not that big a deal. But I've seen tinted turn signals and decided to give it a try yesterday. $10 worth of Autozone 20% tint and an hour later, I like it! Sorry for the crummy pics - heads and fogs are not tinted, just a lot of shade.

It's really, really easy!
1) Remove the lower, front bolts to the inner fender liners and pull it back.
2) Use a small screwdriver to remove the clips on the turn signals.
3) Remove the bulb sockets and pull it out.
4) Cut a piece of tint approximately the size of the lens (and make sure you have the tint side up) and scotch tape it to the lens.
5) Use a fresh razor blade to cut around the perimeter of the lens. Note that the lens is way bigger than the opening in the bumper, so the cut is about 1/2 inch from the edge of the lens.
6) Make sure you buy the application solution - it's maybe $4. Wet the lens with it real good.
7) Peel the backing off the tint, spray it with the solution, then lay it on the lens.
8) I used a credit card to squeegee the tint in place. You will notice the tint wants to wrinkle in a few places around the edge due to the curvature of the lens.
9) Use a hairdryer to apply a lot of heat to the tint, while constantly using your fingers to mash the wrikles down. Believe me, they will go away with a little heat.
10) Put em on the car!
The whole process took maybe an hour, and was really easy. If nothing else, you can remove it if you screw up or don't like it. The only problem I had was cutting the perfect piece and realizing I had the tint upside down.
Don't even try 5% tint - it's way too dark and you can't even see the bulbs light up. 20% seems perfect.
I highly recommend trying this. What a cheap mod.

Looks great!
I'm considering some blackout mods too. I might buy the tail light and head light covers and then do the tinting of the reflectors and third brake light. I also have something in mind for my grill.
