When i read the title I was like WTH ? I was wondering why anybody would spend a shed load of coin on Motor/gearbox/rear end/Brakes/Interior/bodypanels/wheels/clocks etc etc etc instead of just buying a GT500

I was actually looking for the conversion list myself oh here yesterday but couldn't manage it. Anybody got the link or list? I'd be interested to see what the local leaches at my stealership want for the setup.

I think most people who say "GT500 conversion" just mean the front bumper. I don't think anyone would go to the trouble to awap the 4.6, put on black side skirts, GT500 springs, etc etc. It's not worth it at that point. Some people just dig the bumper though (like me)

By the way your wheels are killer.

i actually got the parts list from mellowyellow06 and i took that to the stealership and the less than 1500 is what the parts guy quoted me for it, he siaid id only be paying cost so i think it would only go up from there
I got my quote through a friend who owns a machine shop who called using his discount. My bill will be $1450 for the parts list in mellowyellow's thread for the front end conversion (minus the hood) and that was a month and a half ago. I think most dealerships set their own prices, but yeah I wouldnt doubt many will find prices much lower.

That's what I was thinking ... $1500 without labor and paint .....

The insurance company paid for my conversion ... but I paid like $1700 for everything last year .... not including the rear bumper or hood which was ordered from the local dealer.
