Got 3.73's done in my '06 auto GT a little over a month ago. I like them, they're not as radical of a change like some people say, more "middle of the road" change. When I got the car from the shop, I was like "ok ..here goes"...then when I started driving I was like " oh...ok, not what I thought it was gonna be", no night and day difference, but it feels a little better. Not exactly what I expected, but I guess its okay. You use less gas pedal when starting from a stop, and the engine stays in that powerband easier, more torque feeling.

On the highway, I only gained 200 RPM. For example, at 80 MPH, I'm tach-ing 2600 rpm, with the stock 3.31's, it was 2400 rpm. So thats about it, 3.73's are not a big jump from 3.31's but the car feels a little bit more responsive, good enough for me, nothing crazy. My mpg readout avg. went from 21.5 to 21.2 mpg! My car is not a DD, but when its out its mostly highway, some around town, with once or twice a year drag duty, so the 3.73's are just fine.

Hope that helps.

For an 08 N/A Automatic GT with 3.31s.I drive approximately 50 miles per day in traffic. Sometimes its stop and go for an hour, sometimes its 70MPH the entire trip.

I definitely want gears, I can't decide if 3.73 will be enough or if 4.10 would be too much considering my daily commute. Im looking for opinions from people that may have similiar circumstances. I know 3.73 in an auto is similiar to 4.10 in manual, but sometimes the numbers dont correlate with the feel. Thanks!
I would recommend 3.73s over 4.10s, especially because you are a daily commuter and I believe it would better suit your needs. 4.10's will waste more gas and put you at a higher RPM each gear.

I have 3.73s and I'm very happy with them.
