Default My ramps are slipping, need some ideas to prevent

My garage floor is smooth epoxy coated, which is great, but the Rhino Ramps I recently bought (which I want to keep and figure out a way to use) are slipping, even with the soft rubber feet on them.

I'm looking for ideas to prevent the slipping.

I've read elsewhere some descriptions, but nothing clear, and no pictures. I do have some small carpet squares I could use, but I'd be afraid of those slipping on the floor too. I am even willing to glue something permenantly on to the floor if I have to.

I would think a big rubber mat for each ramp would work... if you have some old rubber floor mats from a vehicle give it a shot make sure they are clean though... just a thought

as read on a different board.....

drill two holes in the floor and drop a big hex head bolt in each, place leading edge of the ramp up against the bold head

I'd try some of that non-slip tape. It's the same stuff I used on my boat trailer to prevent slipping and I've seen it used on concrete and metal stairs in office buildings. It's pretty abrasive, almost like grit paper.

I went and bought 4 of those long, skinny 50 pound sand bags. (The kind people put in their pickup bed for winter traction.) I pile 2 in front of each ramp to keep it from moving. It works great. I did this after driving the car up on ramps one day and noticing the drag marks the ramps were making along the concrete floor.

I used a rubber mat that my wife used to work out on. Never had a problem since then.

Drive really fast up them and slam on the breaks when ur wheels have settled at the top of the ramps....... naw jk dont do that!!
Is the whole base rubber?? The ramps i have only have a small square of rubber and they hold up pretty good

Buy a set of real ramps.

Mine also slip a bit. I try and jam them in under the wheel firstby kicking them into the wheel.

Follow up to my original question:

I put a rubber mat under each of the ramps. We had an old soft sticky rubber mat that was to go under our treadmill. I took that, cut it lengthwise, and it was larger than the ramps and then some.

No slipping at all, even when creeping slowly, and this is on a very smooth epoxy floor.
