Default Painted Tailights?

As some of you may know I put my car up for sale to get an 03/04 Cobra. With the market sucking *** right now and no one buying mine I might just keep it until this winter. With that being said I'm thinking about having a shop paint my tailights and also I mighttake off my blackout panel and have them paint it where that is. How do you guys think it would look? Full blackout across the back.

Has anyone had a shop paint there tailights? If so how much $$ are we talking so I can get an estimate before I take it to a shop here in town? Also any pictures? Any info/tips/comments anything will be appreciated [8D]T

Thanks alot guys,

-Chris

Depends on the shop could be from 50-300 depending on your area, the shop, and if they really want to do it or not.

It would look good if you got the emblem holes and keyhole filled in. And then do a candy annd gloss black across the back. On the lights with candy too.

I would paint your mirrors body color to match though..

Are you talking about on the back? I already took off the emblem because I have the CDC blackout panel which eliminates it.So I would just take off the blackout panel and only thing there is the keyhole..

There are 2 emblem alignment holes and the keyhole. I didn't know about the blackout panel. were you thinking of getting that painted? or taking it off and having the car painted.

getting your lights painted makes the car so much sexier, i deff would say get it done! I talked with about 30 shops- 28 would not paint them because its "too risky" or they "wern't comfortable doing it" i then talked with a shop close to me and they gave me a 350$ quote...... then i found a shop about 40 minutes away www.fullyloadedautomotive.com (York p.a.) that i got my rims at two years ago... they said 150$ and they'll do whatever lights you want done same price. Here are the results:

I'm gettin my car tinted there also this sat for 150$ and a new upper and lower billet grille with factory ford fog light conversion wired and installed and the grilles painted flat black for 700$...

I was thinking off taking off the blackout panel and having them paint it black where it was and also the lights a gloss black.

I went by the shop today he quoted me $150 for both the tailights and the section where the blackout panel would be. I don't think that is too bad at all, they do excellent work.

Also he quoted me $75 a mirror to paint the mirrors.

Fill in the 3 holes! I already took the rear emblem off to fit my blackout panel.
