Default HID Ballast Placement

I just bought 2 sets of HID kits. I bought one kit for the headlights and one for my pony fog lights. But I don't know where to place them in the engine bay.

I have a X-Charger, just to give an idea of how my engine bay looks. Anyone have suggestions for placement? And do you think its a good idea to use a bunch of 3M bonding tape for the ballasts?

Thanks.

I had a post here earlier regarding the placement for the ballast. I had my ballast stuck to the chassis using double sided 3m tape.

What does the factory setup look like? I have not seen any of these HID lights yet. Does the factory use a ballast?

If you're talking about the stock head lamps (non hid) the answer is no. Which is why you have to find a spot for the conversion ballasts.

I was referencing the HID option from Ford. I have not seen any yet and was wondering how they install them. Kind of curious now that this issue came up. I did not know they had a ballast. Reminds me of those old florescent lights from back in the day. At least, thats what I keep picturing in my minds eye... lol
