Default Trunk release - keyless entry issue??

Has anyone had this issue, I hit the trunk release button on my keychain opener and I hear this long clicking/buzzing sound as the trunk opens?? Trunk opens up fine but the buzzing/clicking is a PITA to hear. I made an appointment with the dealer and hope to get it fix.

Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and if there is an easy fix for it...

Never heard that before but my guess would be that the solenoid is hanging energized longer than it's supposed to. If so, simple warranty fix

I had this issue. It would open but not close on the first try. I was under warrenty still so it took about 45 mins at the dealer to get a new trunk assembly put in. The grears were misaligned then they just grinded away to bits and pieces.free fox to an annoying problem

while we're on this topic...is the key less entry the only way to pop the trunk? what ever happened to ford putting a button in the glove box?

Good question. I have been meaning to ask this as well. I would think there has to be another way to get in, right?

Just with the key....

but, an inside trunk release can be added fairly easily.....

Well, the dealer said the actuator stripped and they replaced the latch assembly for the trunk, 40 mins later the trunk works fine!
