If they have you "really" booked for an appointment and not just trying to squeeze you in, there is no reason you can't drop your car off in the morning and pick it up that night.

Painting stripes in and out in one day?

I wouldn't expect that is possible and still have quality work done

They should have the car about a week unless yours is the only vehicle they are working on.

Seriously?I used to sell Snap-On Tool and was around dozens of body shops every week. If the car is in the door at 8AM,and they have a bake booth, the car ought to taped and papered by 9:30, original finish scuffed and tack ragged, paint mixed and shot by no later then 10AM. If there are no drips or runs that need color sanded (and there shouldn't be), clear should follow within an hour or less and then to bake. Again, if they doint get crap in the clear, drip or run, the tape and paper is removed (actually before the bake if I remember right) and it should pull out of the shop that night with a warning to leave it out ofdirecthotsun and no car wash for 72 hours. Been there done it on several repairs on hoods, roofs, etc and all looked great. All of this is if they have dedicated you to an appointment and schedule staff accordingly. I may be off on the bake sequences but the shop I took care of had in and outs same day especially if it was a full hood, fender or door replacement. Things may have changed, I have not been a Snap-On dealer for 15 years, but it couldn't have changed that much.

I remember the excitement of getting my stang!! You've gotta be on cloud 9!!! [sm=ttiwwp.gif]

As for your answer - never had it done, my stripes were a DIY projectcourtesy of BSM but I would tend to agree with BAMFstang. What kind of stripes are you getting?

Yes im indeed on cloud nine right now, especially since this is my first car that ive bought and right now im driving a POS. My car is vapor and im getting 10 black stripes with 1/4 stripes on each side. Kinda like the cervini package you see on the cars on here.

and i promise ill post pics as soon as i get the paint job on it.

P.S. Im also getting some borla exhaust put on it as well, so im waiting till i get everything done before i put this pics up.

Very cool and enjoy. I have the Cervini C kit (Tungsten with Alloy Stripes) and I have the cervini side exhausts with Magnaflow magnapaks. They just rumble everytime I start it and I find myself just turning down the radio and listening to the exhaust note as I go through the gears. It IS my favorite sound.

My painter had my car for 2 weeks for paint. I think 1 - 2 weeks is the average that I've read from other folks
that have had their cars painted.
