Help! 2008 GT Electrical Problem
I've been having trouble starting my 2008 Mustang GT and the failure only happens every couple of days. When I get in my car and turn the key to start, my gauge lights flash and then go off. The car doesn't start, the headlights don't turn on, automatic locks are dead, no power to anything. When I open either the driver or passenger door and slam it shut once or twice everything comes back on and I'm able to start the car (don't ask me how I figured this out).
This is obviously not a battery issue, but is it some sort of error with a contact switch? I'm not sure the dealership will be able to fix anything if I can't generate the fail mode or point them in some direction.

Take it in to the dealershipand let them do the detective work.I would do it ASAP so you have documentation that you are having a problem early in the life of the car. In the meantime, find out what the lemon laws are in your state. In some states, if they fail to resolve the problem after three times, they have to replace the car.
Most of what you are describing has to do with the SmartJunctionBox.
Is your passengers side carpet or pad wet?
Have the dealership check it out asap and document EVERYTHING.
