Default Engine Fail-Safe Mode?

Hey guys. I have an SCT Flash Tuner and whenever I hook it up to my computer and download the file, everything works fine for about 30 secs. After that A mode called Engine Fail-Safe pops on and my car like stalls, or won't take off, plus the cruise control won't work. Is this because the person before me has already chipped the car or what? Thanks!

It's called "limp-home" mode and engages to prevent further damage to the engine. Mine did it when my TB was faulty. If there was a tune prior on your engine, and you retuned on top of that, I heard that could be bad. Only way to get a factory flash is through the dealer...Hope this helps?

Thanks. When I set it back to stock on the tuner, I never have any problems.
