I used to sell radar detectors. The best 3 are the valentine, escort, and beltronics. I personally have a beltronics in my car. Just spend the money for a good radar detector and hope it catches the cop in time to hit the brakes.

really? cause all the tests and reviews say the escort 9500i and the valentine are almost identical in every field of testing...

And what about the k40 radar system? the one that is pretty much invisible in the car and has sensors front and back of the car? looks pretty legit
valentine has front and back and has arrows to tell you if the cop is in front of you behind you or to the side of you and tells you how many their are, the 9500 is a really good one too dont get me wrong, but it is $50 more and the valentine has been proven for a really long time now...but either one would get the job done

I took the advice from this website http://www.radarbusters.com/motorcyc...ardetector.cfmand got the Bel RX 65. Its been good to me. When it comes to detectors you will have to spend some money to get a good one. I see my link now says the 9500 is the best but it wasn't out when I got the Bel. There is a lot of good info on the that site.

I had this dilema as well . It's really like your cars, all about preference and what suites your needs. I'm going with the Escort 9500xi because it fits what I'm looking for in a radar. Driving in NYC it is a perfect fit because it detects where all red light cameras and LEOs are located thanks to its GPS feature. Valentine is good for the arrows because it nulls false alarms by indictating where the true source of the Lidar is coming from. The thing about the Valentine though is that its ULTRA sensitive, whereas the Escort is quiet. If you don't mind the Valentine going off every few, they both equally have their traits. This site helped me out solve this dilema Bel vs. Escort vs. Valentine - RadarBusters.com

I have the bel 995, saved my *** quite a few times! I always leave it on the highway setting. Was fast enough to let me get down to 70 from 105 in Montana last weekend (hit the brakes hard)

valentine one but cops are using laser now. And that's pinpoint so if your detector picks up a laser signal they already got you. So invest in a laser jammer (illegal) and costs about 1-1200$ or so.
