I know many people have asked about somebody creating a back panel for our cars that resemble the 68 GT500KR or the GT protoype of 2004. Here is the best example I have seen to date and obviously it can be done retaining the trunk opening framing. Pascal,I know you are far away but if you look into this thread, think it over and give me a call.

Sometimes I look at a new edge (Which im not a big fan of) And look at their rear end and want to cry, because it looks so much better than our bland butts....

Someone needs to step the **** up and do this, IMHO it would be one of the best selling aftermarket s197 acessories to date and to top it off you would be a hero...As long as it didnt cost over $1000...

I have to disagree, I dont think the fit\ finish is perfect, and I believe there is ALOT of room for improvement, but its the right idea... Even IF it has a way to go...

 

I have a company that's willing to do all of the parts of the rear end for the concept pictured here:



Unfortunatly I could never find a company willing to do the tailights which actually are really easy to do. The price for the first model (minus the tail lights) would be 5k, and then each model after that would e 1.1k. The trunk would latch correctly and eveything, and would come with a leather covered interior trim peice to replace the stock plastic one.

Also that one you pictured looks terrible Mellow. It's not designed nicely.
