Well, last night I pulled the trigger on the Bassani SS street axleback, which wasn't included in the article.
I love my stingers and the sound I get from the combo of stingers and prochamber, but it just isn't a traditional "Mustang" sound.
I decided that my favorite New Edge sound is from Bassani mufflers with Bassani catted X or MAC prochamber. There is a smoothness to them but it also has a rougher sound than Borlas. I want a little more snarl out of my exhaust without being raspy.

Here are three S197 vids of the Bassani Street muffler.
You can definitely hear the Bassani sound at higher rpms and the deceleration flutter is unmistakably Bassani.

I really like the chambered muffler tone, but it's very hard to find one that sounds good without being raspy.
I read somewhere that these mufflers are a hybrid....a combination of a straight through design and a chambered design.
Hopefully my prochamber will make the Bassani mufflers deep with a good idle as well as WOT tone.
I'll post some sound clips when I get them installed.

I think JBA is CARB approved, whereas others are not.

I'm not sure how they measured the sound, but I didn't think JBA was that loud.

Glad you guys found the article helpful/interesting.
I thought all of them are CARB approved. Bolra/Ford stingers claim to be 50 state emission legal.

Too bad they didn't include the stock mufflers for comparison.

At least this article mentions MBRP...again it doesn't have any useful information on them...but this is the first site I've seen except for the manufacturer that acknowledges MBRP makes performance exhaust now.

I need to figure out what kind of mid pipe will go well with them...

The pic for the graph is messed up on the website. Did anyone save that? If so you should post it here so we can see it. Good article though. I think I'm going with the Borla exhaust.

I'm getting an error on the link now too. Interesting the comments though that JBA's are loud. I never thought mine were. Then the other day I ran into a couple who live up the road and have two Roushs. I had never met them but I'd seen their cars in the garage as I drove by. I described my car to them and they said "Oh! That loud black one!" I guess they were right.
