Default +24 offset?

So my friend is ordering some GT500 replicas for her 07, and theyre 18x9.5 with a +24 offset. If she runs a 255/45 tire on that, is it going to stick out at all? I found some old threads, but didnt really have the info I was looking for. Anyone running this size or have pics? Thanks!

I'm running 255/40s up front, and 285/40s out back. Mine are a different offset though. I believe the + 24 offset are for 99-04 cars. Cruizin Concepts has a chart listing the different offsets. Not sure if that helps.

I am running 18x9.5 with 255/45s all around but I have a +45 offset. My wheels are even with the fenders and I guess a benefit of the +45 offset is that they are also deep dish. I don't know if this helps but my wheels could have been ordered in +30 or +45 offsets and the sales guy told me that if I went with the +30, the wheels would not be deep dish at all. So, I don't think the +24 offset is going to stick out at all.

Ok yeah it shouldnt be a problem then. I know what he means. If you wouldve gotten a +24 offset, it just moves the mounting surface of your wheel, but where the actual lip is, it stays in the same spot. These particular wheels dont have a lip anyways, so Im sure it will look good.

Yeah and being that it is a 9.5" wheel, it will fill up the wheel well nicely. Is she going for a wider tire out back?

nah...shes just gonna run 255/45 front and rear. that way she can rotate them when necesary.

Rob just so you know the ones I have are +34mm... hopefully this helps you get an idea.

BTW I've heard issues between v6s and GTs due to the different sized front rotors... The AM rims I have don't look like they would have worked with v6 rotors (caliper clearance)

That's my reason too.

+1
test fit the rims for proper clearances BEFORE mounting tires on the rims
