Default exhaust guru's... my prochamber is too raspy.

O.K. heres my set up; O/R prochamber, GTA axlebacks, stock headers. I like the overall sound but it is too raspy for my taste(especially at high rpms). To tone down said rasp I am thinking of having a shop weld in some high flow cats or a cherry bomb type resonators. Will this help? I have also thrown around the idea of switching the muffs. back to stock but I dont think that would help much b/c the gta's werent raspy to begin with. Any suggestions as far as what would help and what parts would work best are appreciated.

I thought the prochamber is supposed to be the least raspy midpipe we can get???

That is why I baught it. for my tastes that wasnt the case. Im thinkin it has something to do with the lack of cats/resonators.

I think highflow cats will help, what you are hearing. Look around for the video's from war machine with a catted prochamber.

Resonators would definitely help. Ask me how I know.

on my 99 GT I had an o/r prochamber and dynomax bullets with stock headers. It was very loud, but to me it was the best sounding set up for the 4.6 2v. Sounded different than 99% of everyone else with their flowmaster 2 chambers.

The 3v's, dont have the great sound the 2v and 4v do but it is a much better engine.

If you want to loose some of the rasp and get the car a little quieter I would do the hi flow cats.

If you want to loose some of the rasp and stay just as loud I would get the resonators and I would also recommend the bullets.

No dont even F with High flow cats or Resonators......the GTAs sound raspy and sh*tty because of their design.....loose them and get some stingers .....it will sound sexy as hell (2v like) Piggy has them on his car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaRLs8qUYic
