Default i need your opinion on this.. what do you think i could get?

might have to end up selling the car after the first of the year due to work, and smart economical choices, etc..

but heres the main idea.. wondering what you guys thought the car was worth or would get out of it in a trade.. and also any tips if/when it comes down to that time..

2007 Mustang GT Premium - 5 spd manual
Alloy Metallic/Charcoal interior - leather
-Lot of upgraded shyt from the factory (car was stickered at $32,000)

i have about 3,500 - 4,000 into the car in mods

carries about 20,000 miles as it sits right now..

exterior is mint condition, no scratches, dings, etc.. (duh!?)

as far as mods go, brand new nitto 295/45/18's out back with about 800 miles on them..the fronts have a good 15,000 miles of tread life left on em..

wheels obviously, hurst, side scoops, chin spoiler, O/R h pipe, pypes mid mufflers, eibach pro kit (about 1,500 miles on them), alot of time into the engine/dress up, SCT xcal 2 w/ VMP tune.. should be making around 305 RWHP, C&L intake.. more that im forgetting, liek alot of the little stuff ive done my self like interior, etc.. tint, SOS 2 gauge pillar pod

if i had to guess what it would be worth or what i would atleast expect out of it.. would be $21,000.. that would be fair IMO

bout the car in March of 07 with 95 miles on it (had to be driven from jacksonville).. so it about a year and like 6 months old..

oh yea, btw its paid off 100%

for pics.. (without the eibach kit on)

but let me know what you think about that, what you think i could privately, or if i traded..

WHY?
If i end up making this decision, (probably around February), im going to REALLLLLLLLY miss this car.. like.. im gunna be heart broken for along time.. i absolutely love this car.. but at the same time, in the career that i have chosen, (firefighting), i NEED a truck.. and to be honest, i miss being in one (which btw, it WILL be a F150, new body style, and will be lifting it on 20's, prolly black rockstars or something).. but anyways.. i figure in a few years, like 2-3 years, since ill be out on my own, and making pretty good money, the truck should be almost even trade (used) or low payments for like a year.. i should have the truck paid off and not owe anything on it, and be pretty much done building it within 2-3 years.. and by that time, i figure i can start looking for another stang, maybe even a 04 cobra.. i love em.. but i will seriously be depressed if this goes down.. but its a smarter move as far as bunker gear goes, and then i can start up my old pressure washing business again..

and i thought about getting an old beater, but if im going to get a truck.. im gunna get a truck.. know what i mean?.. i love being in a big truck.. but the problem is.. i want to be in a big truck and my mustang at the same time, with the same level of want!.. its like 50/50.. which sucks ***.. both have their benefits.. then i thought about just buying a truck as a second car.. but thats just financially stupid.. ya that car wont have any payments.. but the insurance premium will double, and also be stuck with a like 600-900 dollar monthly payment on a truck for like 5 years.. and never have any money left over to be able to lift it..

i dunno.. im so torn.. but i think its the route im going to take..

thanks for any and all help guys, not only this time, but for alllll the past questions and tips.. this site has deffinately been the best forum i have ever been a part of..

The only thing with selling a modded car is you have to find someone who has the same tastes as yourself. I would suggest selling your aftermarket parts returning to stock and then sell. You will prob end up with more money and an eaiser sell.

ya i thought about that.. i did that somewhat with my truck when i sold and got the stang.. return the program to the stock tune and sold the programmer by it self.. but i think i can use the SCT xcal 2 on an f150.. so i might return the stang to stock and keep the tuner..

i guess i would then have to do the same with the intake, and sell that..

wheels i would probably leave, same with hurst.. etc
i have stock shifter, springs,.. i just dont want to go trhough chaing them for $50

i however do not have my stock wheels/tires.. so that owuld be an issue..

i dunno.. anyone else with any ideas on what its worth?

You can get a pacifier, a case of Kleenex, diapers, a support group... Oh you meant how much can you get for the Stang. Misunderstood and thought you meant what will you NEED to get AFTER you sell it.

Sorry, man. Tough decision. Put it up and see what kind of nibbles you get. But if it's paid off, then why not keep it AND get the truck? If you get married, you might not be able to afford either... Oops. NOW you'll need those tissues...

LOLOLOL.. great response nuke.. i dunno man.. im deffinately gunna need to take out a loan to pay for all the tissues ill be needing thats for sure..

about getting a truck on the side as well as keeping my car.. like i said above, the insurance will double.. plus almost a 1k monthly payment, and never be able to have any more money to lift it and do what i want to it..

heres how i look at it.. i figure once i get picked up as a FF/EMT.. ill probably be makign about 2500/mo (after taxes).. then i will be carrying a part time job making like 250-300/week.. so thats another grand.. if im lucky.. so 3500/mo..

at 3500/mo.. heres where it breaks down IMO (~ = approximately)

-rent (appt) - ~ $1200 (with utilities and minor crap like cable.. i hope)

-groceries, clothes, food, hygene, etc.. ~ $650

-car payment, insurance, maintenance, gas, ~ $450
(this will be with just my car no, truck/no payments)

-savings ~ $750ish

that all together is at ~ $3050, leaving me with only $450 left over..

i dunno.. im leaving alottt out.. i havnt done this in a while.. someone tell me what im leaving out and forgetting with my monthly costs..

but you see where im going with this.. i wont be making that kind of money yet.. in like 3 -5 years.. ill be making more, and should be able to afford a car payment on a used cobra, or used s197

unless you're going to be sitting at home all month long you're definitely leaving out something... going out to eat/movies/bars/vacations/ect...

one idea is to take mods off and sell seperate.
Cars seem to pull almost the same trade-in stock/mod

Sounds like you have a plan.....if you get the FF/paramedic (don't they make more than FF/EMT's?) you should not have to have the side job and life would be more enjoyable..... JMO but I feel your pain on giving up something for greater gain in the future but only you know what you want more from life and what way to go about doing that. The position you chose in life is a noble one and should IMO be paid a whole lot more for being on the frontlines in the medical area/FF arena. I know as I am an RN and always feel under paid and under appreciated .....but back to the value of your car.... I would sell it for about 24K and go lower to whatever you feel comfortable and give the new owner the sense of accomplishment that he got a deal on a well taken care of stang! Love the color and if I knew that was coming out I would have used that color for my 06 GT (stripe color-more ghost effect). Anyway hope it works out for you and best of luck in your endeavors. Even if you don't have a stang you can always still be a part of the forum as an active member!!!!!!

yea.. deff.. good point.. so thats basically the 400 left over.. i mean.. $750 savings.. is high i guess.. but IMO.. you can never go wrong.. and if i did a truck.. with that income and kept the car... i would have NO money for savings.. and cut down the amount for going out and prolly some where else too..

so i dought thats gunna be in budget for a while..
