Default driver seat leg room

Just wondering what all you tall drivers (I am 6'4") feel about the leg room in the new 05 GT? I know the stangs in the past have been kinda short on the leg room. I know this new chassis is 6" longer than the previous models, so does that translate into more front seat leg room? Let me know.

I thought I read somewhere, it translated to 2" in the front, 4" in the rear?

I'm 6'3'and weigh in at 280 and the size of the drivers area was one of the things that excited me about this car. I seriously fit in this car well. I was impressed. I'm sure that you would still have some room to spare. Even the size 14 boot was able to snap some gears duing the test drive. You'd love it!

I'm 6"3 and still have an inch or two of travel on my seat. Nobody will be able to sit behind you though. I'd watch the head room carefully though, I wish the seat would lower a tiny bit more.

I'm 6'5 and have no problems in the my 05. Almost seems tailored. I do wish the steering wheel went a little higher for the tilt. I'm very pleased with all aspects. I especially think the dash vents are clever. The first one I drove I thought there was going to be a problem but I wasn't aware of how adjustable the seat was at the time. Go test drive one to know for sure.

wcracer- I have a 69 mach 1 also. Royal maroon r-code. Looking for a 428 cj. Know of any?? And my 05 is redfire.

I'm only 6', but no problems at all. Plenty of leg rom, but, with the seat reclined back a little, it's a long reach to the shifter, but I like the reclined a little position. IF the shifter was about 1" further back, it would be perfect. 5th is the only gear out of reach, but that's just my position/anthros.

I'm about 6'1" and I fit well in the GT but I wouldn't want to be any taller. It really helps that the front seat has a lot of adjustments which can make it comfortable in the cockpit. I got an automatic tranny though, because I didn't think there would be enough room to be using a clutch comfortably.
