Question need exhaust help!

i know eeryone is tired of exhaust q's, but i have an o/r h with flowmaster axle backs and they sound horrible @ 2500 , like a tin can.....please someone advise me on another "muffler"...i do have boomtubes; i just haven't tried them....any advice will be appreciated.

That's the rasp that's mostly associated with chambered mufflers. To lessen that you'll need a flow through muffler. The boomtubes would probably lessen it but it would prob be real loud

One other thing. If you're interested in keeping the flows I've heard that adding some resonators will really tone down the rasp while keeping it loud and keeping the extra power

thanks,,,,,,anymore advise..i am considering using my boomtubes.....trying to find a clip of an o/r h pipe with just boomtubes......any other advise is greatly appreciated

I have the off road X plus flowmaster axleback setup.

Yeah it's somewhat tinny and trumpety and raspy.

But I had someone drive the car up and down the road while I stood on the side of the street and listened, and I was impressed.

You might want to do the same thing before swapping everything around. It sounds awesome (outside of the cockpit).

I got rid of my flowmasters because i couldnt stand the raspy sound personally. I bought borla stingers and it sounds amazing, i love the deep v8 rumble it gives.

I'll agree with you there. I had the bassani X and from the outside the thing sounded MEAN!
I just thought it was too raspy from the inside

Dont even mess with cats/resonators........go with the stingers. IMO the best sounding a/b when o/r
