Default Bullit mufflers

I have an '08 GT/CS. I was thinking of putting the Bullit mufflers on it. I know the X-pipe is different, but, do you think it would still sound good with just the mufflers?

It will sound good, but is super quiet. Not any louder than the stock GT mufflers. If you have an off road pipe, then it'll be good. Otherwise, I think you'll be disappointed as you won't be able to hear them much better than your stockers.

+1 part of the Bullitt sound is the X pipe. X and H pipes sound different as the H pipe deadens some of the roar with the sound being ping-ponged between each side of it...X pipes tend to add a higher tone to the exhaust.

I heard a friend's Bullitt. He modified the Bullitt mufflers by removing some of the resonators out of it, and while it sounds good, it was still extremely quiet. He upgraded to my old Violators and it sounds awesome now.

I think most people with the GTA's and Bullitts without changing the mid-pipe end up changing again very soon. It's just too blasted quiet.

Thanks for the input. I think I will save up the money and go with the Corsa Axel Backs

I wish I can just throw in any ol midpipe without mesing with the emissions. They sound so much better than just a axleback.

I think the mufflers on the Bullitt are the FRPP GTA's. They're just a tad louder than the stock GT's mufflers. The FRPP GT's are the Stingers, are louder and will drone around 1800 RPM.

The GTA's and Bullitts are different.I've run both. The Bullitts have baffles cut inside the tips and the GTA's don't.The Bullitts are also a straight cut double wall tip where as the GTA['s are a slant cut tip.Forget the Bullitts, they are very quiet.Get the GTA's for daily driving. They sound off very good.
Bullitt tip on the left...check out the baffles.GTA's on the right(sorry for the fuzzy pic).
