Default Fuel filter

So my cars at 60,000 Miles and i checked brakes, cables wiring, cooling, changed oil flushed radiator, I need to flush my Tranny out but i dont have the equipment so that's a shop job. Im lubricating the drive shaft and re greasing the bearing.

I changed out my fuel filter today and i dont think it was ever done before. I removed fuse number 21, tried to start the car, put it on the hoist lift in the shop, removed plastic under drivers side, un clipped old filter and put new one in, replaced plastic, fuse and cycled ignition about 3 times to get fuel into the lines and she started right up.

WOW what a difference in throttle response, i couldn't believe the difference. This is going to be changed every 15,000 miles for me..

You should do yours lol...its good for the car and cost me about $15

You have no idea about throttle response!! I had 90k miles on mine and never changed the fuel filter, it got so bad that my car would sometimes take off like a rocket when i pushed the gas pedal down just a little bit and sometimes it wouldnt do anything at all. It was hilarious because i would be at a light and try to go and nothing would happen and then all of a sudden it would rev up and people always thought i was trying to race them so they would take off.

I should have read the manual so its my own fault, but one day i was out of ideas on what the problem could be so i changed my fuel filter and it fixed it! I now change mine every time i do an oil change~

a friend of mine that works at a Ford dealership said that you'd be amazed at some of the fuel filters he's replaced on cars...he was surprised that fuel was even able to flow through..
