Default Steeda CAI Elbow Users...

I just bought a Steeda CF elbow to use with a ford racing cai. Just looking for some feedback from others who are using the steeda elbow. Likes an dislikes? Whose tune you are running, hp numbers, etc? also what filter system you are using with the steed elbow. Thanks guys

I didn't personally see any gains when I upgraded to the elbow from the stock elbow on my butt dyno. I did hit a better 1/4 time after, but I can't tell if that was due to personal growth or HP gain. My guess would be personal growth. But, it looks better.

I have the Steeda CAI with Brenspeed tunes. There is little to no difference in HP gains between the various elbows and CAI's. It's the tune that makes the diffrence. The Ford Racing tune is conservative compared to Bama, Brenspeed, etc. so a Stang with a Steeda CAI (for example) and FRPP tune will not have as high a RWHP as one with a Steeda CAI and Brenspeed or Bama tune.

I bought it since it was CF. The carbon fiber is WAY better then the stock inlet tube and the saleen inlet tube (I have the saleen and compared them both). I gained a pound of boost with the CF tube over the Saleen Inlet tube.

Not the carbon fiber, but I do have the Steeda elbow with the Steeda filter and the SCT Tune from Brenspeed. Noticed immediate throttle response, but no HP gains on the dyno. The Intake/tune was the best performance purchase I made other than 4.10 gears.

Installation note: The plastic is slippery, and I sanded the elbow at the connections for a better seal.

The Steeda CF and the normal Steeda are the same other than material. I didn't notice a gain when I switch from the stock elbow to the Steeda. If so, it was so minimal... But it looks 1000000x betters.

the only thing with the cf is tempature. from what i've heard the cf keeps a more consistent and slightly lower temp, no hp gains.

Boozshey, just to clarify, you can't run the steeda elbow with the stock airbox can you? and if you can does it require a tune?
