I bought the one by Sphon and it is used to adjust the pinion angle. This is especially needed if you have lowered your car.

Hello, an adjustable upper control arm is used to correct the pinion angle. We offer two different styles, bushing and spherical bearing. The factory upper has a very soft bushing in it and replacing it with a arm that has a higher durometer bushing will also increase the way that part performs. Use an angle finder on the rear of the drive shaft and on the rear end itself. We suggest a pinion angle of -2 to -3 degrees. If you want to give me a call i can explain the way to take the measurements. If you lower your vehicle your pinion angle is going to be off.

what problems will my eibach pro kit cause, being you say the pinion angle is off, is it worth correcting and will the bmr cause more vibration or rear end noise travel.

I used their rear panard bar with the eiback pro kit to center the rear but did not need the control arm. Very nice product fit was great

an incorrect pinion angle from an Eibach kit reduces horsepower by about 15-20.
