Thanks for the Help!!!
I just finished the install of my Hurst shifter, and I love it!!!!
want to thank: pascal, deekum, howarmatt, warmachine, and everyone else that pm'd me advise....the install took me an hour and was very easy....it's not notchy, loud, or anything that would be a con.....the shifts are smooth and the car feels 100% better.....i would advise anyone to go with the Hurst shifter,FTW....

I had a Hurst and swapped to MGW after struggling with 2nd gear over and over. Once I swapped out my trans fluid to royal purple synchromax I may have just liked the hurst more. That fluid made my synchros like butta'! They're both the best shifters made for the S197, specially the new billet model hurst.

Congrats! New parts are always exciting, glad you are enjoying it.
I have tried both and I'd have to disagree, MGW is worth every penny. The hurst is still a good shifter though.

I'd say that the MGW is the best quality one out there.
I prefer the Hurst because it has a race fell to it.
Even though some folks have had problems with the Hurst, it's still a good quality one IMO.
I've installed a bunch of them and none came back to me for a fix.
Can't be a coincidence...
Also, 1morepart... you're welcome.
