Out of Gas

I've got the great pleasure of living in Nashville, TN, the only metropolitan area in the United States that has no gas.

I don't think I'm going to find any 93 octane anywhere, but can probably go north and find some 87 or so.

I've got a Bama tune, JLT install. If I stop at Autozone, etc, can I dump some octane boost in with some 87 out of the pump and be OK till the crisis is over?

I'll keep searching the forums, hoping for a quick answer though

There has to be 93 octane at some of the stations or at least 91. have doug rewrite the tune for the 91 instead of 93. Dont use any octane booster!!

Nope, nothing. As of yesterday evening, some 85% of all the stations were completely out.

We found one last night that had just got a load in. They limited everyone to $20 at $4.19 a gallon for regular unleaded. It's been like this since Thursday.

Bizarre and hard to believe, but here's a link

You can use octane booster. Or you can stop in at Ace Hardware and get some toluene. The formula is easy to find with a google search.

Can you put the stock tune back in for a while?

charlotte was first

we didnt have gas and we still only now are getting 87 at $3.99 a gal. 93 is out of the question

we do have 100 still though... at $5.99

That's one reason one of my 3 tunes is an 87. I was on a trip once and couldn't get anything but 87.

Drive up to Paducah. It's $3.76 for 87 and 10 cents/gal more for 89 and another 10 cents for 93. Just too weird. I'm 2 hours away from Nashville...

I think Nuke has the best idea, have a 87 tune handy.

I drove up to Franklin, KY and found some 93 so it ended up not being too bad. Worst case, was to take the CAI off and put the stock tune back on.

We've got two other vehicles but my wife is putting her truck in the shop tomorrow for some body work.

i live in the nashville area. went to mtsu a few yrs ago. and yes there is no gas in this area at all. there was lines up to an hr for gas. and there is no 93 only 87. thank god i did get joe at dynospeed to write me a 87 tune. i think i got better gas mileage to all weekend.
mtsusean dont you still have the stock airbox. just put it back on and run 87. and get doug to write you a tune for 87. his torque and performance tunes are very good. yes its not the race tune but who knows when all the gas stations around our area will have all 3 grades again. we should meet up sometime and cruise/race together. hit me up sometime.
