Cool HELP WITH TINTS!!! PLEASE!!

I recently got tints, and now i am noticing that the driver and passenger side windows have some sort of lines on it as if it was rubbing agains the door... I was told that this happens because u need to wipe the rubber of after getting a car wash???!!?!?!?! Can someone confirm this or tell me why this is happening. THANKS

What you need is called Moleskin. It's a felt like lining that you install on the inside of the rubber insulation on the inside of the window that contacts the glass. It's softer then the rubber and will not scratch the tint like the rubber does. Hope this helps!

Yeah they are now installed (felt) with the new 08's and maybe the 07's. I have the same thing on mine and have a lifetime guarantee on the tint so it will be replaced for free!

if you had a shop install the tint, you should take it back and ask if they were aware of this problem that has been around for several years... IMO, you should only have to pay for the moleskin, while the tint shop takes care of tinting the windows again.

I'm late but +1 on the moleskin as suggested by others. If your tint is scratched then yes it needs to be replaced. You might want to check and see if the lines are actual scratches or just smears.
