I've been stopping at every Ford dealer I find and asking if they have/are getting any 05 vert GTs and then they just laugh. One guy told me he has 3 coming in June and he wants $5k over MSRP. I laughed, but the last laugh maybe on me, he probably will get it.

If my car doesn't get built, I am going to wait untill November and place an order for a GT500.

Man I know how you feel. I ordered on the same day, Feb 11. I hsd been to all the dealers in my area. I placed my order at the first
dealer that actually could place an order for a vert. C/U until my salesperson mistakingly told me I had a vin about a month ago. So now I'm waiting and order items for the car. Last week he tells me no vin, He had the wrong customer. Now I am calling out for a vert for the summer to all the local dealers. I am getting mixed responses. For the most part the dealers around me will except X-plan, but they just don't have the car to sell. As soon as 06 ordering is open the will shoot me an order, but again another 6-8 week wait or longer, summer's over. The scamble is on. I ordered a GT premium black/charcol, spoiler delete, shaker 500 and most important manual. I am getting great help from the board thanks alot. Hope to be rolling in the next couple of months. For those who are C/U keep hope alive!

Ok guys, it took me 6 weeks and a few days for me to get my GT in after I made the order. If you aren't going to get an 05' GT, place your order now for the GT500. Yes they are taking orders now.

My local dealer, Dale Jarrett Ford, takes all the GT's they receive and converts them to Roush or Dale Jarrett Special Editions and price them for close to $50K. They won't even put a base GT on the yard. Good luck to everyone still waiting. It's a painful process but well worth the wait.

Worst thing about that is they are making about $20k in mark up, that is just wrong.
