spark plug change without tsb
Has any one changed there plugs with out using the soaking fluid? I have a 06 with 14000 and just wanted to put the champions in. I was afarid the fluid would foul the new plugs iwa going to use the rest of the tsb.
I did mine with no fluid, 06 at 22000 miles with no problems, once you break them loose just be careful if they get real hard to turn use the fluid. i just turned slow and they got easier and easier...
I must admit, using the fluid is essential if the plugs are stuck due to fouling, but even after airlining around the plugs beforehand, it's going to wash all sorts of crud into the chamber, onto the pistons and down the walls, possibly getting jammed between piston & wall causing small scratching.
My first move would be to carefully try the plugs dry instead of arbitrarily swamping the plug with fluid.

My 06 GT had 11500 when I changed them this spring. I soaked them and they were STILL A BIT** to break loose. Once they did pop loose, (Used Sea-Foam Deep Creep), the fluid softened the carbon instantly. I had to go over 50 lbs to get them loose. I personally would follow the TSB. I run Champions with anti-sieze. No problems now. It was a damn stressful time though.
