Red face Battery install (quicky)

My stock battery was dieing all the time and the alternator was tested and came out good. So i skipped over to auto strauss for a new one. Gave all the car info and they gave me a battery.

Install was a breeze except that the new battery is slightly bigger and he heat sheild wouldnt fit.

Any ideas? should i cut it and tape it on the blind side? Do i even need it?

Thanks in advance.

Tryed to search but didnt find anything on it.

That's exactly what I did...cut 'n tape. Also, there's plastic spacers on the battery tray that are removable so the bigger battery sits flush. I guess you already knew that if you got the hold-down to fit.
