Anyone Installed Roush Quarter Window Louvers?
Hey Everyone -
I've been thinking about getting a set of these for my '08, and was thinking about doing the work myself. It says there's no drilling required and in theory, they seem pretty simple to install. Figured I could save myself some money that way, instead of paying a garage to put them on.
I was wondering if anyone had installed them by themselves, and if they had any hints/tips or horror stories.
Thanks.

I am the least mechanical inclined person there is and installed them myself. Nothing difficult to it. Probably the hardest part was cutting the stupid paper templates. Didn't have scissors around and am not very inclined in the arts either. You should have no problem doing it. Just read the instructions!!

I'll probably just order directly from Roush and have them paint them for me before shipping. I'm not much of a painter. Most of my ceilings have paint specks from the walls. I'm sure as hell not going to touch my car.

I put double thickness tape on the brackets to space
the louvers ever so slightly out from the stangs surface.
It sure makes cleaning and getting all the soap and water
out from behind them a lot easier. Plus they dont rub the
paint as much as only using one layer of 3M tape.
The stang is curved and the louvers are flat.
The stang pulls the flat louvers down to match the curvature
of the stangs surface.
Over time, this causes some damage to the paint where the
louvers contact the body.

Thanks everyone. Lots of good ideas, which is why I come here.
I appreciate everyone's time. 157db - Thanks for the pictures, they'll be a big help. HoorayBeer (great name) - I'll check in with the dealer. Victoria - rough break, but thanks for the heads up.
