Default BBK Headers WoW!

I didnt think the headers would make that much difference in the sound but wow it made it so much deeper! I love the way it sounds now.I have the stock mid pipe BBK shortys and the SLP Loudmouth it sound so sweet... so deep it sounds like a low deep camming sound at speed and just incredible at wot.

Congrats man, I honestly didn't think that shortys would have any sound difference over stock manifolds. I could see your setup with a Prochamber.

I want the BBK's as well and glad to hear they sound so deep as that is what I like in the sound of a stang! Wasn't sure which shorty to go with and this seals the deal!

Did you install them yourself? If not, how much did it cost you?

I did the install myself, it is alot of work. me and a buddy and a lift and it took about 8 hours, but it is so worth it! everyone was saying about 300-400 bucks for installing so I did it myself.BBKs instructions where dead, if anyone decides to do it them self pm me and I can give a few pointer that might save them some time...

Unfortunately I don't have access to a lift, but I have a feeling that's what it would take. The only time I've ever put headers on it was for a '69 Firebird that had the fenders and hood off of it, and even that was a pain! So I can imagine how much work it is on these S197s. You should put up a quick how to. Good job on doing it yourself.

X2 for the BBK's. Theyre not to bad to install, a little time consuming but nothing "difficult." I was amazed at the sound difference Also, never thought it would be like that. My SLP's had some popping when i had stock shorties( so i switched to boomtubes) and i noticed that after the shorties the popping went away. Does yours still have any popping w/ the SLP's? -Jon
