Default paxton s/c question/problem

Hey guys, first of all let me say a huge thanks to grabbercs and 07s197 (jen and eddie) for selling me the paxton s/c and installing it for me. these two people are top notch and just went out of theyre way for me and i just cannot say thank you enough for everything these guys did for me. OK, to my problem..my passenger side front is now making a noise when i hit bumps. i looked underneath of the car and didnt see anything but when i looked underneath o the hood i see that the pipe that runs from the throttle body to underneath of the car on the paxton s/c is hitting the belt tensioner because the pipes are painted and the painted has def rub signs. i thought about just putting a piece of dynamat here but maybe somebody else has a better idea?? I do have l/t headers so i did change the motormounts out for the poly ones. i am trying to attach a pic.

From the pic I can defiently tell that the motor mounts lowered the motor enough to not utilize the bend in the piping. If you look right at the botton of the tensioner you will see that distinct bend. That should be almost at the bottom of your tensioner, at least mine is. However I dont know what would be moving to cause them to hit, have you tried moving the pipe any to see if it is loose?

pipe can be moved but only because of the rubberized gaskets that go over top of the piping and utilize clamps to hold the pipes together. the rubberized piece can be flexed to make the pipe not hit but with a good amount of force needed. underneath of the car the piping is very sturdy. a little nervous to try the dynomat for fear it is just going to wear through as the belt tensioner moves slightly all the time while the car is running?? what do you guys think as a solution..temporary or not. i have some dynomat here.

I think you had better find a way to gain some clearance by making adjustments to the piping. I once had an intake that was rubbing on my break fluid cap, and I used a block of sticky foam (similar to dynomat) to address the problem before I was able to make adjustments. Here I would be worried about the tensioner melting the dynomat, which would only add a burning rubber smell to your problem.

I was thinking the same thing but i dont know how in the world i can adjust the pipes any more. hoping somebody else has done this as well with the poly motor mounts and l/t's.
