Default Fixit Ticket

Well my roommate got pulled over in my car today. My car has the GTS covers on the headlights and fogs and some vinyl tint off ebay for the taillights. The cop wrote him a fixit for the front and rear lights being "modified", which sucks ( the cop was actually talking to him about how cool the car was rather than bitching at him haha ) so basically I have to take off the vinyl and the covers I can easily take off. I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else and if they took the stuff off and put it right back on? I'm pretty sure fixit tickets aren't kept track of right, so if I did and got another ticket for it it wouldn't matter right, just fix it again?

Yes i have heard of about 4-5 people getting pulled over for these violations recently. Cops are being more picky about these things i think.

True really it is a safety issue but I cant understand why they would pull you over during the day? If at night and it was noticeable then sure but during the day?

Yea that's what I said. Apparently he was going the opposite way and flipped a U-ey and got him in like 5 seconds, obviously he knew what he was going after him for... pretty lame if you ask me, I've ran it for a year and just NOW decides to give a ticket? Crazy....

Cos during the day the brake lights are harder to see with blackouts over them.

I agree it is when the light hits this especially. At night is when they probably wouldnt be a problem actually as long as it wasnt too dark

Agreed.

Think about it...how long have you been driving your car and never got stopped for it before? Odds are, you will not have another issue for a while. If you have to go through the process every six months who cares? It's worth it.
