Yes, something like that ... The traffic light turned red about 150 feet ahead and I wanted to pull next to 350Z in front of me, side by side... At the time I was behind the Z and the light was already red. There was something like a KIA or YARIS little ahead of me ( about 30 feet ) in the right lane with about 75 feet to go before the red light, so I overtook it, moved into the right lane in front of him and started to break hard as not to overrun too far into the intersection on a Red light. Thats when the small car hit me. Whats strange is that I did allow him his space space by driving pass the stop line but he still hit me ( and not in the *** but on the side ), while moving slower than me WTF? I still do not get it how it could happen... I assumed he was slowing down for the red light... May be he did not see the light? May be he was changing into the very right lane instead of braking? I know I should not have done that.... But I know it takes two to have an accident...

Wow, that is quite a bit of damage. I am assuming that the other guy chose to leave the scene as there wasn't an accident report filed?

OK, took the car to a couple of local body shops, got some estimates. One shop wants about 2400$, would not replace anything just fix both door and q-panel. Wants to blend on the rear bumper and front fender... The other shop wants to replace q-panel, will blend on the door and wont touch the rear bumper - 2000$ What do you think?
