Default How far will my springs settle?

Alright guys...don't get jumpy, I did NOT buy these from Blue Oval Industries.

I bought FRPP springs from Lee Capaldi Racing [great people, great customer service]. They lowered the car just like I thought/they said they would.

That being said, about how far on average do springs lower throughout the next week? I can live with it if they don't settle any farther [looks GOOD!] but I know they settle during the next week and was just curious as to how much [1/4 inch...1/2 inch].

For anyone who does want cheaper springs than most and doesn't trust Blue Oval Industries [please...NOBODY use that company] call/visit Lee Capaldi Racing. I bought the FRPP springs for $165. I think it was $190 shipped!! Great seeing that American Muscle sells them for $215...not that AM is a bad company, just can't beat the price on this.

*EDIT* I'll post pics next week of the drop. I'd do it now, but I also bought some paint matched 1/4 window louvers that should be here middle of next week. Then I'll post some up. Who knows, maybe I'll do it tomorrow anyway...I've got nothing planned and the car is clean.

3-4 inches depending on your weight. If you use sand bags, maybe up to 5 inches.

You're either joking or drunk...

The springs lower the car 1.5 inches so they say. It's not going to settle 3 inches...

I was hoping you weren't serious...but hey, you never know. There are probably some people that would have believed you, lol.

I know how much it lowers in general, was just curious as to an average next week settling. 1/4 inch would be fine. 1/2 inch IMO would be too much. As it sits now it's great, but another 1/4 inch I could live with.

LOL, yeah I am not really sure. I am sure somebody here will tell you better. But I am sure will be like between 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch.

They wont settle much from what I have read and I bet its ok to say that they MIGHT settle an 1/8 to a 1/4 inch max as they are progressive rate springs (meaning they get stiffer as they are compressed) so settling should not be much of an issue... hope it helps

That's right, mine didn't move a bit.
Not even an 1/8.

It's usually the rubber insulation that gives, if you use new ones.

In the back, it might settle a tad if you didn't index those oririnal insulators on the same spots.
It's due to the fact that the tips of the springs are now in contact with a non-collapsed zone on the insulators.
But it would only be less than a 1/8 anyway...
