For my birthday I received some cash towards car parts from my parents, and I decided to get some black vinyl racing stripes put on my car. They look amazing! My beautiful girlfriend took some pics today and I can't wait for her to put the pics on the computer. Next couple steps...

I wanna know if I should get louvers or a tune. I know might sound crazy, but since I've had the chance to make my car original I love it! lol.

Second question is my car is candy apple red with black stripes. If I get the louvers should I get them black or candy apple red to match? Just wondering how it might look.

I also would like to know if anyone has painted their stock rims black and how it looked? THANKS

 

I can't really talk about the painted rims but I would definitely get the louvers the same color as the car and not the stripes. I think it will look "funky" if you get black louvers on a candy apple red car with black stripes. Does that make sense?

forget those hidious tape on jc whittney louvers. (Stripes go WHITE). black will look uuugly.

I found this pic off americanmuscle... Im guessing this is what your car would look like with the black louvers since you already have the black stripes.

If it were me and I was doing stripes all over again, I would have got the same color and pattern as my sig with added clearcoats. My wife talked me into the painted stripes and they look so much better than the vinyl type IMO. If it were me I would save up and get them painted with extra clear coats on the hood and front bumper. I now have some very tiny chips/scratches on the front that bug me. I will probably swap out hoods in the near future and have it done all over again.

If you to paint my vote would be for:

1. White with a pearl mixed in with it.

2. Black with red metallic flake mixed in.

I think we should have a striped mustang crew damn it! Or something that makes me cool like the whipple crew or Saleen crew. How about turbo crew? I mean they got everything else!
