First of all I did tell my dealer, I've been buying new Mustangs from them since a 79 Indy pace car.
The point of this was to find out if others had problems with paint flaking off the plastic parts of the car.
The picture is not me, I just thought you guys would like it.
The price must be because of the replacement of the striping?

They your dealer is just being nice because there is no way most dealers would pay for any type of accident damage unless it was caused by some work they did on the car, which this was not. There is no real way to predict what paint will do once a foreign object hits it.
