Default HID Temps

Hey guys,
I'm sure there has been a ton of threads on this, but search came up with little to nothing.... how do HID's look at the diff temps? I have an opportunity to pick up the Americanmuscle.com 8000k HID kit for $120, slightly used.... Isn't 8000k not real bright because it has a bluish tint to it? I was told to get the 6000k... Also would you be wary of buying used HID's? I've heard it's easy to foul them up... thanks for any help guys!

8000K has the bluish tint like BMW's use. the 6000K is as close to pure white as they get.

Hmmm I kinda like the bluish tint, it's still real bright right? Also does the Americanmuscle.com kit come with a relay?

i remember when i was looking for hids, several different companys had different color temps. some had the 8000k as being blue and some had it as being white with a hint of blue.

you can probably just get a brand new kit for $50 more from retro solutions

Yea 8K has more of a bluish tint than anything. Its good enough to illuminate the road without blinding other drivers. You'll be happy with an 8K if you want that bluish tint

HID's are NOT brigher than normal lights. The mustang has huge headlights already and HID's might even lower the light output.

You CAN'T buy 6000k HID's they are barley even sold at all. 8000k is white with a noticeable blue tint 10000k is blue.

Really? Can't buy 6000k's? I wonder what's in the box sitting next to me that says 6000k then... Hmmm... Maybe there's a conspiracy and they're actually pushing 8000k's on people....
