Default I need some clarification...

So my shifter linkage arm broke the other day and i had a new one sent to me. well i went to install it today and its the wrong one? Its a ford part and bolts in the same but mine has a curve and the new one is straight. Could it be from a GT500? I cant figure it out...

Nate,

Hmmm.......Not cool.....I can tell you that the one that MGW sent you, the black squarish looking one, looks just like the one on my car....Mine is an 05. Did that piece maybe change according to year????

Sorry man,
Mike

I'm definitely thinking that ford changed these along the way......
Can you take em both to a local machine shop and have them pull the broken stud out of your existing shift arm, and replace it with the one from the other arm???

I believe the V6 one is straight...
Could it be that they sent you that one instead?

pretty sure mine is straight... i'll have to check it out next time i'm under there. they either changed it after 06 or you got a V6 one.
